Eleni Castro
Boston University Libraries Director of Digital Ventures
Boston, MA
Looking forward to connecting and partnering with others interested in scholarly communications, digital scholarship, digital collections, research data management and curation, research information management, as well as digitization of cultural heritage materials. To give you some more context, I am working on leading a new initiative at Boston University Libraries called Digital Ventures, which is working in service of Boston University’s research, teaching, and scholarly efforts. Boston University Libraries’
Digital Ventures program works with library units and campus partners to provide a growing suite of services that facilitate and support creating, managing, and enabling enduring access to Boston University’s research and scholarship, and to the Libraries’ digital collections.
We are also hiring for the following positions on my team and I would be more than happy to chat with you about either of them:
- Archival Information Specialist: to provide guidance and coordination for creation, management, and maintenance of archival and digital collections metadata, and serve as the client service lead and platform administrator of Boston University’s archival information management system (ArchivesSpace).
- Digital Collections Librarian: will work with the Boston University research community to support scholarly projects and initiatives through digitization and digital collections.
